Standings

Standings are the main entity where user rankings are stored.

Types of Participants

There are three types of participants in a standings:

  • User
  • Team
  • Club

Workouts, Validation, and Standings Scoring

A workout is included in the standings scoring if:

  • It matches the sports type of the standings.
  • It falls within the accepted workout dates.

Meeting these two criteria is sufficient for the workout to appear in the user's workout list on the standings.

However, for the data to be counted in the participant’s score, the workout must also meet the selection criteria tied to the standings.

The specific validation criteria linked to the standings depend on the entity it is associated with:

  • Personal statistics
  • Club
  • Club statistics
  • Community
  • Event
  • Tournament
  • Team

If a workout passes basic validation, it will be counted in:

  • Personal statistics
  • Club
  • Club statistics
  • Events that inherit basic criteria

Events may have their own specific criteria. If a workout meets these criteria, all standingss linked to the event will count that workout in their scoring.

After passing auto-validation or being reviewed by an administrator, the activated validation entity is linked to the standings. If the validation status is "Approved," the data that will be counted in the standings scoring will be specified. The participant rankings are calculated based on this data.

The calculation occurs automatically when a workout is created and validated, or when validation is reviewed by an administrator.

For more details about workout validation, see the Workout Validation section.

Workout Feed

The list of workouts included in the tournament table standings can be viewed in Impulse in two formats:

1. Workout Feed

In this format, all workouts that have been counted in the tournament table are displayed with detailed information:

  • Links to the participant’s user profile.
  • Information about the workout itself, including its details and validation status.
  • Data on the credited distance.

To access the tournament table workout feed, click on the carousel "Recent Workouts in Standings", located in the center of the tournament table filter panel.

2. Participant's Standings in the Tournament Table

This format shows all workouts of a specific participant that have been counted in the tournament table standings.

To access a participant’s standings:

  • Click on the participant’s row in the tournament table.

The page format depends on the type of participant:

  • If the participant is a user, only their workouts that were counted in the tournament table will be displayed.
  • If the participant is a team or club, the page will include all workouts of the team or club members that were counted in the tournament table. In this case, additional filtering by username is available for easier data analysis.

Standings Columns

Distance

The total distance for the specified sport or all sports in the standings.
Unit of measurement: meters (m) or kilometers (km).

  • In personal rankings: Calculated as the sum of distances of all workouts by the user that qualify for the standings.
  • In team rankings: Calculated as the sum of distances of all workouts by team members that qualify for the standings.
  • In club rankings: Calculated as the sum of distances of all workouts by club members that qualify for the standings.

Pace

The cumulative average pace for the specified sport.
Unit of measurement: min/km.

  • In personal rankings: Calculated as the sum of average paces of all qualifying workouts by the user.
  • In team rankings: Calculated as the sum of average paces of all qualifying workouts by team members.
  • In club rankings: Calculated as the sum of average paces of all qualifying workouts by club members.

Number of Workouts

The total number of workouts qualifying for the standings for the specified sport or all sports.

  • In personal rankings: Calculated as the total number of qualifying workouts by the user.
  • In team rankings: Calculated as the total number of qualifying workouts by team members.
  • In club rankings: Calculated as the total number of qualifying workouts by club members.

Elevation Gain

The total elevation gain for all qualifying workouts in the specified sport.
Unit of measurement: meters.

  • In team rankings: Calculated as the total elevation gain of all qualifying workouts by team members.
  • In club rankings: Calculated as the total elevation gain of all qualifying workouts by club members.

Activity

This column is only available in the context of club rankings.

Activity is measured in percentages (%) and reflects the average frequency of member workouts. It shows how regularly club members engage in sports.

Example: In a club with 10 members, if 5 trained on Monday, the club’s activity for that day is 50%. The average activity over a period is calculated as the sum of daily activity values divided by the number of days in the selected period.

Thus, if the club’s average activity for the year is 35%, it means that, on average, members trained approximately once every three days.

Kilometers per Member

This metric shows the average number of kilometers covered by each club member per workout. It is calculated as the total distance covered by all members during the selected period, divided by the number of days in the period.

Example: If one club has an average of 4.7 km/member per year and another has 5.6 km/member, it means that members of the first club tend to complete shorter workouts on average compared to the second club (assuming equal numbers of members).

Goal Status

Only applicable when the "Personal Goal in Tournament" feature is enabled.

Shows the status of the personal goal: target value and current value.

Number of Members

Calculated as the number of members in the team or club.

The number of points earned per workout is configured at the tournament level.

  • In personal rankings: The sum of points earned by the user for all qualifying workouts.
  • In team rankings: The sum of points earned by team members for all qualifying workouts.

Active Booster

The booster that will be automatically activated next, according to the schedule.

Sorting

The default sorting is configured based on one of the columns. This column generally determines the winner.

The set of columns, their order, and the default sorting are configured by the administrator.

Filters

Many standingss have detailed statistics enabled by default. This allows you to select any period of interest to view aggregated data: all time, a year, a month, a week, a day, or even a custom time range.

For convenient navigation, use the button on the right side of the standings’s filter panel. It lets you switch between the standings page and the entity to which the table is linked (e.g., a club, community, or event).

On the standings page, you’ll find detailed information, including the currently applied filters. These filters are automatically saved in the browser's address bar, so you can share the link with others. Anyone who opens the link will see the same data with the same filter settings applied.

Data Fixation

After the deadline for submitting workouts to the standings and after the appeals period ends, administrators lock the standings data.
This means the data will not change, even if workout validations are updated or workouts are deleted from the system.
