Clubs in Impulse
Clubs in Impulse are communities of athletes that allow members to compete, share experiences, and track their achievements as a team. Each club has its own statistics, which include the training data of all participants, and also participates in the overall club standings.
Clubs are for your closest connections: people you regularly train with and meet in person. Once you join a club, you become a long-term member, working together to climb the rankings in the Impulse Club Standings !
Creating and Managing a Club
Creating a Club
Any user can create their own club. To do this, go to the My Clubs section and click "Create Club." Provide a name, description, choose an image, and select the sports for your club. The set of sports can also be changed later in the club settings.Managing Members
The club owner can invite new members, remove current ones, and assign administrators. Members can join the club via a link or directly, depending on the club's settings.Sports in a Club
Clubs support multiple sports: running, cycling, swimming, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. By default, all sports are enabled in every club — you can change this in the club settings and keep only the ones you need. A separate standings table is maintained for each enabled sport, with fair ranking within that sport. Standings for the additional sports (other than running) are counted from the beginning of 2026.Heads up when disabling a sport
If you disable a sport in a club and then enable it again, standings for that sport will only be counted from the moment it is re-enabled. Workouts done while the sport was disabled will not be included in the standings.
Restrictions
- At the moment, it is not possible to make a club private – all club member standings and club profile data are visible to all registered users.
- A user can only be part of one club at a time. If you want to join another club, you must first leave your current one.
- After leaving a club, a user can only join another club after 30 days.
Club Statistics
Each club has access to its own statistics, which include:
- Total Distance: The combined distance covered by all club members.
- Average Kilometers per Member: The average distance covered by each participant.
- Number of Members: The total number of active club members.
- Member Activity: The percentage of members who regularly add workouts.
Statistics and standings are tracked separately for each sport, with metrics tailored to each one:
- 🏃 Running — pace in min/km
- 🏊 Swimming — pace in min/100 m
- 🚴 Cycling — average speed in km/h
- ⛷ Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and 🏂 snowboarding — average speed in km/h
You can view club statistics on the Club Statistics page, switching between sports, as well as on your club's page. The leaderboard for club statistics always includes detailed analytics, allowing you to track results for various time periods: day, month, year, or a custom range.
Workout Validation
For a workout to be counted in the club and club statistics, it must pass basic validation. For more information about validation rules, see the Workout Validation section.
Telegram Integration
Clubs support integration with Telegram for easier interaction:
- Personal Chat with the Bot: Members can receive personal statistics through a private chat with the Impulse Telegram Bot.
- Group Chat: Add the bot to a group chat and link it to your club. Administrators can publish overall club statistics, and members can receive individual data.
